Brazillian Bombshell

From the outside, the delights of the interior of this house
are
not immediately apparent...

A really stylish place, to call home which, is in an
exclusive
neighbourhood in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

I particularly like the open plan, where inside flows over into
outside, whilst the interior decoration is left minimalist;
a blank canvas for the owner to add their personal style.

Creative with Wood

Both a versatile and durable material, wood lives on long after it's transformation. Sensitive to hot and cold, it expands and contracts as it settles itself into its new role.

This mushrooming shape is strangely appealing. For more design work using wood, visit the finds on The Cool Hunter

If Life Gives You Lemons

If  life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. So, what if life gives you cucumbers - what then? ... Maybe you should try this:

Boozy Cucumber-Ginger-Lime Slushies:

Makes 4-6 drinks

1 cucumber, peeled and cut into big chunks
Juice from 3 limes
Ginger syrup: simmer 1 inch of sliced ginger root with 1/4 c sugar and 1/2 c water for 10 minutes
6 oz vodka
4 ice cubes
Optional: cucumber slice for garnish

Add everything but the ice to your blender.
Blend until it’s smooth.
Add in half the ice.
Blend more.
Add in the rest of the ice.
Blend until it’s slushy consistency.
