Most people have or use a mobile phone these days, which means that the public phone is verging on the unnecessary. Matreshka Light
Coming in at a snip at £8,000.00, I find the shape and satin-buttoned cushion of the Matreshka Light Chair inside strangely appealing.
Designed by brothers Georgi and Petar Slokoski, (an architect and an artist), who were inspired by the Russian Matreshka doll. From its curvaceous form, this chair offers the sitter a safe-haven, from which via remote, the LED RGB lighting system can be controlled. The thousands of colour combinations, also include white, in case you actually want to read a book whilst you take a 360 swirl. Their website can be found here

Wintery White
Just come back from a mid-week break for a few days in Amsterdam, at a friend's, and this was the view from the apartment. Very pretty to look at, but with temperatures of -5 during the day and a minimum of -10 at night, I think inside is the best place to be. Especially as the return train journey yesterday (normally a two & a half hour journey) took me 6 hours!
According to the news, 09.00am yesterday morning the temperature was -22.9 in Lelystad - a record - and colder than the inside of your refrigerator.
